Terms of Service
Tsunami Privacy · tsunamiprivacy.com · Effective Date: October 12, 2026 · Last Updated: October 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tsunami Privacy LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“Tsunami Privacy,” “we,” “us”), based in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. They apply when you use our website or buy our services. By signing our Authorization Form, paying for a service or using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. We have tried to keep them in plain English; please read them, especially Sections 7–10, which explain what we can and cannot promise.
1. Who can use the service
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- You may sign up only for yourself. Each person whose information we remove must sign their own Authorization Form. [Family member / third-party signups – owner decision.]
- You may not use the service for an unlawful purpose, such as hiding from law enforcement, avoiding a court order or legitimate debt collection, or committing fraud.
2. What we do
Tsunami Privacy is a personal data removal service. Acting as your authorized agent, we:
- search the data broker and people-search websites on our current covered site list (available on request) for listings about you;
- submit opt-out, access and deletion requests to those websites on your behalf, using the laws and processes that apply (for example, California’s CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy laws, and each site’s own opt-out process);
- create a dedicated email address for you on our domain (for example, firstname-lastname@tsunamiprivacy.com) to send requests and receive confirmations, and send you a detailed removal log (sites checked, requests filed and results) after removal and after each check-in;
- use temporary phone numbers where a site requires one; and
- keep a removal log listing every site searched, what we found, what we requested and the status of each request, which we deliver to you at the end of the initial service.
Our work is AI-assisted and human-supervised: AI tools help us search and file requests, and a person oversees the work and reviews the results. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is used and protected.
Timing. We begin your service within 48 hours of payment and submit removal requests as soon as possible after that. Data brokers set their own response times, and some take up to 45 days to process an opt-out, so we expect most results within 45 days. We do not guarantee how long removal will take.
3. Pricing and payment
| Service | Price | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Data Removal | $100 (one-time) | Search of covered sites, removal requests for listings found, follow-up, dedicated email, and final removal log. |
| Data Removal + 1 Year of Monitoring | $159 (one-time) | Everything in Data Removal, plus three more check-ins at about 3, 6 and 9 months: re-search, re-submit removals for relistings, email update and updated log. |
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and are one-time charges. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
- Payment is due in full before we begin work and is processed by a third-party payment processor, [payment processor]. We do not see or store your full card number.
- We may change our prices for future purchases, but we will not change the price of a service you have already paid for.
4. Data Removal + 1 Year of Monitoring package
- The Data Removal + 1 Year of Monitoring package costs $159 in total. It includes everything in Data Removal plus three quarterly check-ins at roughly 3, 6 and 9 months after your initial service is completed.
- At each check-in we re-search the covered sites, re-submit removal requests for any listings that have reappeared (“relistings”), update your removal log and email you a summary.
- Monitoring is included only when you buy the $159 package. It is not sold separately.
- Your monitoring year ends after the third check-in is completed and reported. We then delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your responsibilities
Removals only work if we can find and verify you. You agree to:
- give us accurate, current and complete information about yourself, and tell us if anything changes;
- forward verification codes promptly (within 24 hours) when a website sends one to your own phone or email – codes often expire quickly. There is no penalty for a late code, but we may need to re-request it, which can delay your removal;
- respond to any identity-verification requests that a website sends directly to you;
- not give your case email address to anyone else or use it for anything other than this service; and
- review your removal log and let us know about any listings you think we missed.
6. Your authorization and the case email address
- You appoint us as your authorized agent through our signed Authorization Form. We will act only within that authorization.
- Your case email address belongs to Tsunami Privacy and is used only by us for your service; you will not have a login to it. We will delete it when your service ends or when you ask. If you would like copies of any messages, just ask before then.
- You may revoke your authorization at any time by emailing matteo@tsunamiprivacy.com. This ends your service (see Section 10).
7. What we cannot guarantee
We work hard to remove your information and, if you buy monitoring, to keep it off. But we do not control data brokers, so we cannot guarantee results. In particular:
- Removal may not be permanent. Data brokers often collect new data and relist people. Monitoring helps catch relistings, but it cannot prevent them.
- We cannot remove you from every website. We cover the sites on our current covered site list, not the entire internet. Some sites refuse requests, are unreachable, or have no opt-out process.
- Some information is outside our service, including government and public records (such as court, property, voter or business records), news articles, social media, and search engine results or caches (search engines may show old information for a while after a page is removed).
- Websites decide how and when to respond. Some may ask for extra verification, delay, or partially comply.
- Removing data reduces, but does not eliminate, risk. Our service is not identity theft protection, credit monitoring or a security guarantee.
8. Disclaimer
Except as stated in these Terms, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not provide legal advice.
9. Refund policy
- Before service begins: if you cancel before we begin work on your service, you get a full refund.
- Few listings found: if we find your information on only a small number of covered sites (2 or fewer), we refund 70% of the $100 Data Removal fee ($70).
- Monitoring: If our year of monitoring finds nothing, we refund $35 (60% of the $59 monitoring portion) of the $159 package.
- Otherwise, no refunds once work begins, because the work has been performed.
To request a refund, email matteo@tsunamiprivacy.com. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within [X] business days.
10. Cancellation and termination
- You may cancel at any time by emailing matteo@tsunamiprivacy.com. We will stop filing new requests, send you your removal log, delete your data and confirm in writing. Requests already submitted may still be processed by the websites. Refunds follow Section 9.
- We may end your service if you give false information, try to use the service for someone else without their authorization or for an unlawful purpose, fail to pay, or abuse our staff or systems. If we end your service for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund [Termination-by-us refund – suggested: the unused portion, or a full refund if no requests were filed].
- Sections 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15 continue to apply after the service ends.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim; and (b) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the actions, data or practices of data brokers, websites or other third parties. Some laws do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Your promise to us
If a third party brings a claim against us because you gave us false information, signed up someone else without their authorization, or used the service unlawfully, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Macomb County, Michigan, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Before filing any claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally. [Arbitration / small-claims clause – attorney to advise.]
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on our website with a new “Last Updated” date and, for significant changes, email current clients at least [Notice period] before they take effect. Changes will not apply retroactively, and we will not change the price or scope of a service you have already paid for.
15. General
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and your signed Authorization Form are the entire agreement between us about the service.
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer them only to a successor business (for example, if the business is sold or reorganized), which must honor these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- We may send you notices by email to the address you gave us. Electronic signatures and records have the same effect as paper ones.
